A Unique Home Selling Opportunity

The days of the red hot sellers’ market are over, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sell your home. You just need to take advantage of unique opportunities and here is one way to do it.

Why do you think there are malls? What is there to do there other than buy stuff you may or may not need? Yet all of us go to malls at one point or another. Do you think this makes them valuable to retail businesses? You bet.

This store placement strategy is all about something known as traffic. You and I are the traffic. We might be driving by on a busy road or we might be walking around in a mall. The point is we are going to see that store continually and may go in to buy something.

The same concept can be translated to real estate. More importantly, it can help you sell your home. A swap meet is a good place to sell a product because a large group of people attend it. This increases the potential number of prospective customers for the business.

The days are getting longer and warmer. Spring is here and summer is around the corner. With warmer and longer days comes activity. If you are a little lucky, this will present you with a very unique opportunity to get your home in front of a lot of people.

Why is this? People have been sitting inside most of the winter. With warmer days come people getting out of the house after a long winter. Many go to community events such as concert, fairs and such. Such an event in your community can be all the opportunity you need.

A community event is a huge opportunity to sell your home because of the traffic it generates. People have to park somewhere. Usually this means on street blocks. They then walk from their cars to the event.

This traffic is your opportunity. You have hundreds of people walking right by your home. Have an open house. Hire some kids to walk around and hand out brochures. Put up a sign with brochures next to the sidewalk. If it is hot, offer people free water bottles.

Selling your home often comes down to taking advantage of the unique opportunities presented to you. If your community has some kind of event, even if it is small, you are being presented with an opportunity to get your home in front of a lot of potential buyers.
