Carpet cleaning is quite a rigorous activity; not for the person cleaning but for the carpet itself. Some carpets are of high quality that it won't be too obvious that it's been run over by a vacuum a few hundred times. But most carpets of average quality will start to show signs of damage. This is where carpet cleaning repair tips will come in handy. Keep a close eye on your carpet so that you can use some of these tips when needed.

On Color Restoration

Let's face it, some people are just plain clean freaks and will stop at nothing to be able to clean their carpets at least twice a day. This is especially true for people who buy new carpets. However, this can cause a lot of damage to a carpet, especially in the case of its color. Over time, it will seem to fade.

There are also unfortunate accidents that involve bleach spills on carpets. These effects can actually be reversed and here is one carpet cleaning repair tip that anybody can use. In the market, you can buy a bleach stain carpet repair liquid such as the one from Roper Systems.

A carpet repair liquid comes with easy-to-follow instructions and once applied properly on the carpet, it won't be long until your carpet is restored to its original color. Some of these carpet repair liquid can even address color loss that is caused by over-exposure to the sun.

Dents

For those of you who like to park furniture on top of carpets, you might notice that when you lift your carpets for vacuuming under them that there are dents left behind on the carpet. These dents are caused from furniture legs or anything that puts weight on the carpet. Believe it or not, you can actually get rid of these dents with a little hard work and grooming tools like some hard-bristled brushes.

A hard-bristle brush is ideal to help loosen the tufts on the dented areas and allow them to stand up again like new. You can also use the brush with steam iron. However, make sure that you keep the steam iron a few inches from the carpet to keep it from touching the material. People who like to keep moving their furniture about should keep this useful tip in mind.

Carpet Shading

Ever noticed that there are some parts of the carpet that see darker than the rest? This is known as shading and this usually happens when some parts of the carpet receive less vacuum runs than other places. Usually, this happens on carpet edges and corners. There is no real remedy for this but prevention is the best cure. So if you are vacuuming carpets, make sure to vacuum all areas equally to avoid any carpet cleaning repair regarding shading.
