Exploding Your Income With Viral Marketing

If you were to go up to someone and ask them what viral marketing was, you would most likely get a blank expression and no answer. But, ask that same person what "word of mouth" advertising is and you would no doubt find that they would have absolutely no trouble giving you an answer.

Viral marketing is a form of word of mouth advertising. It is word of mouth on the Internet. The number of new websites on the Internet soars each day. Therefore, viral marketing can bring traffic to their emerging business. More business equals more money.

There are five basic elements to any viral marketing scheme. It is not necessarily important for you to employ all five of the elements in order to succeed. But, the more facets you use in your viral marketing campaign, the more likely you are to be successful. Let's now take a closer look at viral marketing and examine each of the elements.

Element number one involves marketing by giving something away for free. This type of plan brings in many potential customers and helps them discover your business. This is the first attraction to your website.

The second element of a viral marketing effort is that the message must easily be transmitted to others. You want people to not expend any effort to tell their friends and family about what a great company you have. Fortunately, clicking on that "forward" tab within an e-mail is perhaps one of the simplest means of telling others about a great company.

Any marketing effort generally seeks to use the inner motivations of people to compel them to make a purchase. This is the third element, and it is common to all marketing plans: finding a hook that will draw people in.

Viral marketing is certainly no different so if your message offers people things like love, popularity, or any kind of emotional reward, then chances are better than not that you will succeed in your effort. Frankly, greed is one of the best motivators for people so remember that when designing your viral marketing campaign.

Element number five involves closing the deal. You have spread the word about your business, but now you need to convert word of mouth into sales.

Set up a website that can handle heavy website traffic so you can provide exceptional customer service. Prepare ahead and have viral marketing messages on hand for any situation.

If you own a website, then you will need a large enough server so that people do not waste time waiting for their order to be received and processed. So, while you may not be able to afford to do this until you have those orders, you should at least prepare and plan for them to come in so that you are not scrambling once the message gets out. With enough planning and a great emotionally inspired hook, any viral marketing campaign can succeed.
