It is very unfortunate that some of the most loyal, and common dogs in the world are ones predisposed and prone to canine hip dysplasia.

Some golden retriever blood lines have had been studied to have a 70% ratio of dyplastic puppies.

Fortunately word is spreading and organizations like OFA and PennHIP have been pushing scientific study and surgical operations to remove hip dysplasia and prevent breeds genetically predisposed from breeding.
